You are probaly used to eat your chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce on the side.

In this recipe the chicken wings are actually grilled with the blue cheese sauce topping them!

Ingredients
  

Marinade

  • 20 units chicken wings
  • 30 mL vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • 15 mL white vinegar (1 tablespoon)
  • 5 mL hot sauce (eg: Frank's Hot Sauce)
  • salt & pepper

Blue Cheese Sauce

  • 250 mL yogurt (1 cup)
  • 30 g blue cheese (2 tablespoons)
  • 30 g mayonnaise (2 tablespoons)
  • 0.5 teaspoon celery salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Prepare the marinade

  • Trim & separate the chicken wings then add salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a large bowl, mix the the oil, the vinegar and the hot sauce.
  • Add the chicken wings and leave in the fridge for 2 hours.

Blue Cheese Sauce

  • Mix the cheese, the mayonnaise, the celery salt and the pepper together until you get a smooth texture. Leave to rest.

Grilling the chicken wings

  • Set up the grill to medium heat.
  • Take off the chicken wings from the marinade and cook on the grill for about 20-25 minutes until cooked.
  • Frequently coat the chicken wings with the blue cheese sauce while cooking and do not forget to often turn the wings.

Notes

Tip: You can use a freezing bag to marinate the chicken wings. Just pour everything in the bag, close the bag taking off the maximum of air out of the bag , mix well and leave in the fridge. This way, the marinade is coating perfectly all the chicken wings.
If you want an extra dose of blue cheese sauce, you can keep some to dip your cooked chicken wings.
You can serve those grilled blue cheese chicken wings with celery and carrots sticks.
